Overview

The software is fairly simple to use, and is definitely priced right.  Cucusoft was one of the first to offer this software and they are still among the top products in video to iPod software. However, since the introduction of 1Click DVD to iPod (our #1 choice), Cucusoft just isn't the best any more. This product allows the user to run in batch mode or direct mode so you can either copy specific portions of a video, or simply convert the whole video. The amount of supported formats is wide and diverse so that the software can be used to copy your DVDs, Internet downloads and even recorded television material.

Installation

The setup is straight-forward and does not require you to reboot the machine after the install.

Usability

This product is simple to operate. Just load the DVD, deselect unwanted extras on the DVD, then click the convert button. We've found this an excellent and easy to use program. Beware of other programs that are advertised as iPod conversion software. Mainly, they link pages to file-sharing networks with false claims of unlimited iPod downloads. These programs don't really offer useful DVD to iPod conversion software- instead, they offer links to software that's not exactly easy to use or effective.

Copy Quality

The image quality is great. Even with compression it's very hard to tell when viewing the compressed unless you set the compression (quality) level low (low quality, high compression).
